An emulator is a program that simulates an actual Nintendo, and allows you to play roms (the games) on your computer. I have a selection of several different emulators, but I would recommend NESticle. It works with virtually all roms and has a excellent GUI. And if you have a Mac, go to Emulation.net. It's a great place for Mac emulators.
